FAQ

What is the fee for a consultation?

There is a $55.00 fee for the initial consultation.

How do I choose a qualified plastic surgeon?

Make sure that the surgeon you consult with is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery or is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the only boards recognized to certify plastic surgeons.

While we are dedicated to the highest standards of patient care and surgical excellence, choosing a plastic surgeon is a very personal decision.

During the consultation you should be feeling the formation of a trusting patient-physician relationship.

You need confidence in the surgeon you choose and the above certifications ensure the most extensive, broad and complete training of plastic surgery procedures on all areas of the body.

What is the cost of plastic surgery?

While surgical and hospital fees for medical and functional problems are often covered by insurance, fees for cosmetic, elective procedures are the responsibility of the patient.

The cost will vary depending on the procedure and if multiple procedures are performed at the same time.

There are two fees. One is the surgeon's fee and the other is for the surgical suite and anesthesia.

We have negotiated very favorable pricing packages at several surgical centers for our cosmetic patients.

We are prepared to offer you a package rate on most of our cosmetic procedures; this includes a set fee for the surgeon, surgical suite and anesthesia.

Where is surgery performed?

Our surgeries are performed at hospitals and surgical centers that meet state certification requirements and adhere to a strict set of medical guidelines for these certifications.

These facilities provide trained operating personnel, with rigorous standards for sterility and safety protocols and additional backup support.

We prefer that your anesthetic be administered by an anestheologist or nurse anesthetist as we are then able to concentrate solely on the procedure to be performed.

Your safety and comfort are our highest priority.

How long is surgical recovery time?

Surgical recovery time depends on the procedure performed. The time may range from a day to several weeks.

You may resume normal activities, exercise and sports upon the advice of your surgeon.

Will I be left with a scar?

Yes, anytime the tissue is cut and this includes a surgical incision, the body forms scar tissue.

While we cannot always predict ahead of time or control how you will heal, your surgeon will advise you on how to help minimize the amount of scar formation.

When may I schedule surgery?

You may schedule your procedure with our surgery scheduler as soon as you feel ready to proceed.

We will try our best to work with you in accommodating your schedule.

We will see you again about two weeks prior to surgery to again review your goals, review the procedure and the postoperative course.
